Accessibility statement

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 (opens in a new tab) at level AA across the website and the logged-in service. Remedy is run by a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us. We publish this statement because the people we serve deserve one, not because the law makes us.

What works

• Keyboard. Every page starts with a "Skip to main content" link, and the site is built with standard links, buttons and form fields, so you can move through it with the Tab key.
• Visible focus. The control you have reached by keyboard is shown with a coloured ring.
• Screen readers. Form fields have labels, decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology, and the page declares its language as British English.
• Zoom and text size. We do not block pinch-to-zoom or browser zoom, so you can enlarge the text with your own settings.
• Illustrations. The two charts on the home page, allowance growth and the taper, each carry a written summary that screen readers announce, and their legends use words as well as colour.
• Touch targets. Most buttons and controls in the logged-in service are at least 44 pixels tall. Some older pages are not yet, and they are listed below.

Known limitations

• Colour contrast. We have not yet measured every colour combination against the level AA ratio. Some small grey text on white may fall short.
• Small controls. Some links and buttons on the marketing pages, and in older parts of the logged-in service, are smaller than 44 pixels.
• Your own documents. The statements, payslips and P60s you upload are your scheme's or employer's files. We do not remediate them. We do show the figures we read from them as ordinary text on the page, so you do not have to read the file itself.
• Other people's pages. When you connect a pension or payroll portal, the page you sign in on is the scheme's own site, shown live. Payment is taken on a page run by Stripe. Their accessibility is theirs, not ours.
• Staff-only charts. The charts in our internal admin area have no text alternative. No member or practice sees them.

If you need anything on this site in another format, such as large print or plain text by email, or if something here stops you doing what you came to do, email support@remedy.tax. Tell us the page, what happened, and the assistive technology you use, if any. A person reads every message.

Enforcement

The Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. In England, Scotland and Wales it is enforced by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) (opens in a new tab). In Northern Ireland the equivalent duty sits under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and is enforced by the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland (ECNI) (opens in a new tab). About this statement

This statement was prepared on 24 September 2026 by the Remedy team, from a review of our own code and of the site by keyboard. It has not been audited by an outside body. We will update it when the limitations above change.
