Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

William Roberts Coaching and Advisory Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in England (company number 15629688), operates Remedy. By accessing or using Remedy("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

Important: Remedy finds and fixes public-sector pension tax problems with deterministic figures from tested code. Figures shown while we are still gathering your record are provisional; a specialist checks your pack before it is issued to you. Regulated advice and sign-off are provided by qualified professionals, yours or ones we introduce. We are not ourselves authorised to give regulated financial advice.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

User Accounts

You must be a public-sector professional to use our services
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
You must provide accurate and complete information
You may not share your account credentials
You must notify us of any unauthorised access
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms

Payments

The pension check and your account are free. If there is something to put right and you ask us to handle it, the fix is a one-off £99. By paying, you agree to:

Pay the fee shown to you before you confirm (the £99 fix includes VAT)
Provide current and accurate billing information
A 14-day cooling-off period for new purchases
Refunds in line with our refund policy

AI features and third-party services

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence provided by third parties (including OpenAI and, where configured, Perplexity AI) to analyse documents, answer questions, and support search or web-grounded responses. By using those features, you acknowledge that your inputs and related content may be processed by those providers on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.

AI-generated text may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date; you must verify important information independently
We do not warrant that any AI output is suitable for your circumstances or compliant with your scheme or employer rules
Availability, quality, or behaviour of third-party AI may change without notice
You are responsible for not submitting more sensitive personal data than necessary

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Share access to your account
Attempt to bypass any security measures
Upload malicious content or malware
Interfere with the proper working of the Service
Attempt to access other users' data
Use automated systems to access the Service
Reverse engineer the Service

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by William Roberts Coaching and Advisory Ltd and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, sell or exploit any content without our express permission.

Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Remedy produces deterministic positions from tested code, checked by a specialist before your pack is issued, and partners with qualified accountants and IFAs for regulated advice and sign-off. We are not ourselves authorised to provide regulated financial advice.

Always have a qualified professional review your position before you act on tax or pension decisions. We are not liable for decisions you make without that professional review.

While we strive to keep information up to date, we make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content or information provided through the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall William Roberts Coaching and Advisory Ltd, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
Any content obtained from the Service
Unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
System failures or interruptions
Data breaches or cyber attacks
Loss or corruption of data

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall be limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you must stop using the Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
