For accountants & financial advisers (IFAs)

Your public-sector clients, decision-ready before the first meeting.

Remedy is the branded intake and evidence layer for firms serving public-sector clients, across the NHS, teaching, the police, armed forces, civil service and local government. Your clients arrive with clean, reconciled figures. You stop chasing documents and start on the work.

Cuts intake from hours to minutes. Free during the founding-partner pilot.

The intake problem

The hard part isn't the calculation. It's the chase.

Public-sector clients arrive with missing pension evidence and no idea what to send. You spend hours gathering payslips, pension statements and scheme benefit statements (for example a Total Reward Statement, or TRS, for NHS clients) before you can begin, and the record you finally get is often wrong. Remedy does all of that first.

What you get

A clean client, ready to work

Branded intake

Your clients get a free account under your firm's brand. They connect their record or upload once, and we do the collecting.

No document chasing

We gather the payslips, pension statements and scheme benefit statements (including a Total Reward Statement for NHS clients where it applies) and reconcile them, so nothing lands in your inbox as a loose attachment.

A readiness dashboard

Red, amber or green for every client, so you see at a glance who owes work, who's missing a statement, and who's ready to file.

Reconciled figures

We check each record against payslips and flag employer errors, so you start from data you can trust, not data you have to double-check.

Accountant-ready packs

The full position with every figure sourced back to exactly where it came from, ready to review, sign off, or file through the HMRC digital service.

Consent and audit trail

Every step logged, with the client's consent recorded. Cover for you and for them if HMRC ever asks.

For accountants

Start on the work, not the admin

Clients arrive reconciled and decision-ready. Whether your accountancy fee is reclaimable by the client depends on their scheme: the NHS reimburses up to £1,000 including VAT, several schemes reimburse on a discretionary basis, and some cover advice only. The breakdown below shows what applies.

For financial advisers

Advise on a clean picture

You give regulated advice on the remedy choice and the pension decisions, on figures that are already gathered and checked. That advice is often reclaimable by the client: the NHS caps it at £500 including VAT, and most other schemes reimburse advice on a capped or discretionary basis. The breakdown below shows what applies.

Reclaiming your fee

What your client can claim back, by scheme

Fee recovery is McCloud remedy compensation, and it varies by scheme. Only the NHS publishes fixed caps; several schemes reimburse on a discretionary basis, and the LGPS has no route at all. We flag what applies to each client.

NHS
Up to £1,000 including VAT for accountancy and £500 including VAT for advice.
Teachers'
Up to £500 for advice; no separate accountancy allowance published.
Civil Service
£500 for tax-position advice, plus reasonable HMRC-resubmission costs (uncapped, discretionary).
Armed Forces
Discretionary, no cap; professional fees where expert advice was needed.
Police
Discretionary, no cap; accountancy and adviser fees for complex cases.
Firefighters
Discretionary, no cap; reasonable fees, decided per Fire and Rescue Authority.
Judicial
£500 plus VAT for tax-registration-change advice only; no accountancy allowance.
Local Government (LGPS)
No fee-reimbursement scheme.

This is McCloud remedy compensation, time-limited (typically claimed within 6 to 12 months of the member’s statement or election) and for remedy work, not ordinary annual-allowance advice.
