And the professional sign-off is often reclaimable: up to £1,000 for accountancy or £500 for advice through the NHS Cost Claim Back Scheme. So the real cost to get it handled can be about £99.
NHS members: professional fees for McCloud advice may be reclaimable under the NHS Cost Claim Back Scheme. We flag what applies in your pack.

A pension-tax bill can run to five figures and sit unnoticed for years. A free check tells you today whether you are exposed, or clear.
Regulated advice comes from qualified professionals. We work out your position and a specialist checks your pack; when you need advice on what to do next, we hand you to a qualified professional, yours or one we introduce. We produce the facts; they own the advice.
Yes. We produce the reconciled position with every figure sourced back to exactly where it came from, in a specialist-checked pack ready for a professional to review. Your own accountant or IFA can take it from there, or we can introduce you to a specialist who works in this area every day. You are never locked in.
We tell you clearly, with no upsell. You can still create a free account for document storage and a yearly re-check. Many members keep their record with us even when the first check is green.
The check is free, and so is your account for as long as you like: documents stored and a yearly re-check. If there is something to fix and you want us to handle it, it is a one-off £99 including VAT. For NHS members the professional sign-off on top is often reclaimable under the NHS Cost Claim Back Scheme, so your real cost can be about £99. Your account, stored documents and yearly re-check stay free, whether or not you ever pay for a fix.
Often, but it varies by scheme, and it is for the McCloud remedy specifically, not for ordinary annual allowance advice. The NHS has a dedicated Cost Claim Back Scheme: up to £1,000 including VAT for accountancy and £500 including VAT for advice. Teachers' and the Civil Service reimburse advice up to around £500. The Armed Forces, Police and Firefighters' schemes reimburse professional fees case by case, with no set cap. The Judicial scheme covers £500 plus VAT for one specific type of advice only, with no accountancy allowance. The Local Government scheme (LGPS) has no fee-reimbursement route. Claims are time-limited, usually six to twelve months after your remedy statement or election. Pick your scheme in the "I work in" selector above to see your position, and we flag exactly what applies to you in your pack.
Often not. If you owe an Annual Allowance charge, you can usually ask your pension scheme to pay it for you instead of finding the cash now. It is called Scheme Pays, and it is common with McCloud charges. We model pay-now versus Scheme Pays honestly, side by side, so you can see the real cost of each. It is your decision; we lay out the trade-offs and never push one option.
Yes, that is the point. Your documents and figures live in one place you own and can always reach, so you never lose access the way old payroll logins can take it away. Keeping your account, records and yearly re-check is free whether or not you ever pay for a fix.
Often yes. McCloud and Annual Allowance can span multiple tax years. The check flags historical risk; if there is something to fix, we work through your record year by year.
The check is two minutes. Your full position depends on documents and scheme, typically within a few working days once a specialist has checked it, not months of you chasing employers and administrators alone.
